SPEAKING OF BEANS: Kanye West has responded to Beanie Sigel's comments suggesting 'Ye and Pharrell are gay. WHAT THE HELL?: After much back and forth over who would play the Notorious B.I.G. in an upcoming movie based on the rapper's life, it was revealed the part is up for an open casting call and not going to a specific rapper after all. BIG's manager and movie producer Mark Pitts told a media outlet: "We thought it would be best to open it up to the world and...give somebody the opportunity to step into his shoes and fulfill their own American dream. As it relates to the individual Christopher Wallace - his looks, his stature, what he represented, the swagger, the sensibility of the man - all those elements are very difficult to find, no matter where you go." ALL WRONG: No need to put anyone on blast for starting the latest internet rumor about Kobe Bryant and his lovely wife Vanessa splitting up; according to Kobe, those reports are false. The Lakers star guard told etonline.com that originally he attempted to ignore the rumors but had to set the record straight. OUR PRAYERS: The good folks at UWN would like to extend our condolences to the family of the Newark, NJ college students who were killed in cold blood at a neighborhood schoolyard this week. Natasha Aeriel is the only student to survive the gruesome slaying, and police arrested a 15 year old in relation to the murders last night. Local activists are outraged, asking for a change on their Newark streets. POLITRICKS: Have you heard of the Jena 6? If you haven't don't feel alone - but check out the story of racism in the town of Jena, Louisiana gone terribly, terribly wrong (and then wonder, like we did, why you haven't seen this anywhere else) - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YuoiZnr4jLY.
